Water In A Broken Glass
Celebrating 10 Years!
On September 15, 2000, La Caille Nous Publishing released my first novel, Water In A Broken Glass. This strikingly unique story centers around renowned sculptor Tonya Mimms, who is forced to stop hiding behind her art when she meets Malcolm Holland, a charming account with a dazzling gap between his smile that Tonya falls into; then meets Satin Pierce, a captivating bookstore owner, who has one of Tonya’s sculptures prominently displayed on a shelf in her bedroom.
Water was #6 on the “On-Demand Best Sellers” list. Its sales captured the attention of BET Books. It has been recorded for the Maryland School for the Blind and has been consistently on The Seattle Public Library’s reading list. In 2007, Cheryl Robinson of Just About Books Internet Radio Show named Water the winner of the annual Book Award for Best Fiction. It was featured on Sippin’ On Ink…The Colored Chronicles blogtalkradio with Kat Williams in 2009. Several bookclubs have selected Water for their monthly reads, and it continues to attract new readers. At present, an independent film company is working on a screenplay for Water.
On September 15, 2010, Water will celebrate its 10th Anniversary. I would love for readers to celebrate this wonderful event with me by purchasing Water. A number of you already have, and I have listed your names on the “Read Water Roll Call.” In the next few months, my hope is that the list will swell to over 6,000 and put Water back on the literary map and on the shelves of your local bookstores just in time for the release of my new novel, In the Mirror.
