On Saturday, I met a wonderful group of women who make up the Cherry Hill Book Club. What an awesome time we had discussing Water In A Broken Glass. They truly got into the story. Marsha, the president, had three pages, front and back, of notes and questions. I felt like I was in school being tested on a reading assignment. LOL It was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thank you Ladies for selecting Water In A Broken Glass and the great support. Also, I made their wall of writers. I feel so special. LOL See you Ladies at the premiere for Water In A Broken Glass.

Okay, y’all. After weeks of working with Createspace in trying to get the new cover for In the Mirror correct, and learning all there is to know about RGB and CMYK, I finally have a proof of In the Mirror with a cover I can live with. So, I want to thank everyone who helped me in the redesign of this amazing cover, starting with the very talented Tyrone Wilkens who took the photograph; the beautiful Toni Belafonte, Lauren Smith, and the handsome Malcolm Blackman for agreein…g to be on the cover; Victoria Valentine http://www.victoriavalentine.com/pageandcoverdesign/ of for her wonderful design; the great filmmaker Teresa Davis for allowing us to use her beautiful bed; and Devin FlyGuy Ricks, Kirby Griffin, Leonard Coleman, Jamelle Williams-Thomas, Symora Thomas, and last but not least, my wonderful, supportive husband, Michael, who does any and everything he can to support me. I can’t do anything of this with Michael, y’all So I hope you like the cover as much as I do. In the Mirror will be re-released in the next two weeks. Be on the look out. Thanks for all the support y’all always give me.
Great author and publisher, Devlon Waddell did the In The Mirror Challenge.
Answering the question what does he see in the mirror, Delvon wrote, “I see dead people.” Don’t mind him. He’s crazy. LOL
The beautiful and loving Etosha Bakari accepted the In The Mirror Challenge.
So, get your copy of In The Mirror, Read It, and Review It, Post It.
Thanks for the support.
I accept my In The Mirror Challenge.
I look in the mirror and see me being happy despite all the things in the world that can make you want to cry instead of smile. I see a woman who loves her life. Who sees and understands just how richly blessed she is. I see a woman full of hopes and dreams. I see me.
I phoned Ronald, owner of the Club 347, and I explained that his club is featured in In The Mirror. He asked why, and I told him because his club is very popular in Baltimore City. Everyone who is serious about music goes there. And since one of the characters plays the trumpet, I thought it would be special to have him play at 347.
I asked Ronald if I could place some flyers 347 to promote In The Mirror, and he said I could bring 2 posters! I was so shocked and happy. I told him that I would stop by and bring the poster, as well as a signed copy of In The Mirror for him. The only problem was, I didn’t have a poster. I had a little brochure that I’ve been passing out. They aren’t even in color, because my budget is so slim that I can only afford color for my press packets. So are the struggles of an author. But that doesn’t mean I will not get the poster. I designed one using Powerpoint, a picture of the cover, and a photo our daughter, Nina, took of me while we were at Cylburn Auboretum videotaping her dolls for another video for her Doll City channel. (By the way, she is getting so good at making those movies.)
Anyway, here’s what I came up with. I put it on my Facebook page and everyone loved it. I’m proud of it myself. I plan to have it posted inside club 347 by the end of the week.
I stayed up last night until a little after three in the morning working on my press packets and rehearsing an excerpt for Water In A Broken Glass. I hope to have it posted tonight.
I found out that In The Mirror is now available at Barnes & Noble, in paperback and on the Nook. Two people have purchased and reviewed it. The reviews are great. They didn’t leave their names, but I want to take this opportunity thank them for reading In The Mirror and taking the time to review it.

Baltimore filmmaker, Antonio Jefferson, is shooting a film and he will be using In The Mirror in a scene that he’s filming today!!! Antonio has produced a number of short films and now he is working on a feature length project, which is what Mirror will be in. Is that cool or what? I’m so excited! Again, y’all thanks for the support. And I’ll let you know when the film is done so you can check it out. In the meantime, check out Antonio’s films.
