On Saturday we filmed the booktralier for In The Mirror.  It was one of the most exciting and interesting things I have ever done.  I always watch the-making-of portion of movies, because I find it fascinating.  And thanks to Jamelle Thomas and her very talented crew, I was able to see it for myself.  Everyone was great, from my husband, who supports me in everything I do, to the cast and crew, who did everything in their power to make sure what I had in my head appears on screen.  So I’m going to give a big shoutout to Jamelle Thomas, Stefan LaToure, Jeremy Diamond, Alex Bryant, Steve Houk, Jenny Houk, Michael Marks, Lauren Smith, Chris Armstrong, Tia LaTrell, Dana Pryor, Lisa Jones, Joshua and my parents for making that day so incredible.  I couldn’t have done it without any of them.  I especially couldn’t have done it without my husband, Michael.  He’s been here for me since I was 12 years old.  I also want to thank Michael’s family for watching our children while he and I did this.  Now it’s onto making that booktrailer do its job.  That’s going to be fun too.

Book Trailer for In The Mirror

Soon, I will be shooting the book trailer for my upcoming book, In The Mirror.  A group of wonderful people have agreed to help me on this project.  The very talented Jamelle Thomas of Lodge Street Films in DC is the director.  Stefan LaToure, who directed Martina D. Evans’ spectacular, short independent film Three Weekends In June, is the DP.  The actors are veterans and newcomers.  Steve and Jennifer Houk are wonderful friends of mine, who not only agreed to appear in the book trailer, but are allowing us to shoot in their home.  Lauren Smith is a friend and co-worker.  She is also a model and actress.  Michael Marks is a very handsome model, who has appeared on the cover of several magazines.  Tia LaTrell is an actress who has appeared in several films.  And Chris Armstrong is the former receiver for the Baltimore Stallions.  I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with these wonderful people.  I know they will do a great job.  Everyone is excited.  It’s going to be a great shoot.  Thank you all for helping me do this.  With your help, In The Mirror will make it to the best sellers list!
