Wyzae Crankfield

Anyone who knows me knows that I love horror books and movies.  I blame it on my mother, who used to read Stephen King novels to her children when we were small.  One of the things I love most about horror are zombies.  I love watching zombie movies.  Don’t ask me why.  It’s just fun to watch.  So, you know I love The Walking Dead.  It is by far my favorite television show.

Recently, I had the fantastic opportunity to meet a guy by the name of Zomb-G, also known as Wyzae Crankfield.  And guess what.  He’s a zombie!  Yep!  And he’s from Baltimore.  So you know I had to interview him for This Is Baltimore, Too.  Wyzae Zomb-G is a very entertaining and interesting dude.  Check him out, and you will find that he is also very intelligent and inspiring.  You know that’s how we do at This Is Baltimore, Too.  So, check out his story and See What’s Good In Your Baltimore Neighborhood.

Club 347

A few weeks ago, I contacted the owner of Club 347 and told him that his club was featured in In The Mirror.  He told me to bring 2 posters and a signed copy of the book and he would post them in 347.  We dropped the posters off last night, and he invited me to speak on Monday and Thursday night.  I also met a poet name Miss. Jones and she also invited me to speak at her events and she wants a copy of the book.  So, I want to thank Ronald, Miss. Jones, and the folks at 347 for all the support.

Baltimore Gets Happy

The moment I saw Pharrell Williams’ Happy video, I told my husband that I had to do one like it.  We actually ended up doing 2.  That song makes me so happy and the love the way he just got people off the street to do their thing to the song.  It’s so simple but amazing. So Michael and I went around and videotaped people and ourselves being happy.  Take a look at Baltimore shake what our mama’s gave us.  Thank you Pharrell for writing such a wonderfully happy song.

Happy From Baltimore, Maryland

I love Pharrell William’s song “Happy.”  When I saw the video, I loved it even more, and I said to myself, I’ve got to make a video like that for Baltimore. So my husband and I made the video in 3 days.  We shot on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Then edited on Sunday night, and posted the video on Monday morning.  We had a great time shooting this video. Everyone in it and watching us shoot it enjoyed themselves. This video is the very embodies the spirit that motived me to start doing This Is Baltimore, Too.  I thank Pharrell Williams for making such a positive, happy song.  It makes us all be happy.

By the way, there is a web site dedicated to all the videos that have been made in tribute to “Happy” around the world.  Last count there were 460 cities.  we posted the first from Baltimore.  Check it out and be happy.  Click the 2nd Baltimore.
